what are some software that i can record a keyboard piano to a computer. the piano has a usb output on it so im guessing i can just buy the usb that goes to it. ive heard of fl studio…is that any good?and i just want to know some other softwares.

I have been using fl studio for years and I love it! Yes your keyboard and fl studio will work as one if you have usb output. It comes in different levels. The fruity loops edition is o.k. it will get you working but Im not sure it will let you record. You may need to read up on this too. Then theres the producers edition which I would recomend as a minimal. I use the top notch fl studio 9xxl. That is a completley unlocked program. Extremely versatile. You can make your own drum loops and create full sounding songs with drum fills, synth, effects, and a ton more. Check youtube for tutorials and demonstration videos. Its best to see it in action but I guarantee you will not be dissapointed. I also use reason 4 which is a similar program. For me, Reason 4 is limited but very nice regardless. Does your keyboard produce audio itself? I mean to ask, is it a midi controller or an actual keyboard? If you play music right off your keyboard, you might be interested in Adobe Audition. Its a multitrack recorder. You can on one track record a piano rythim and on another track record your bass along side the piano. So its all in what you want. If you need more to your music like drums and other instruments to play to then deffinatley fl studio. If you feel that you have everything covered with your own keyboard then try Adobe audition.
